Frances Imogene (Johnson) Myers, age 74, of Hollis, passed away early Monday morning, December 12, 2011, at Select Specialty Hospital, in Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Myers was born on June 22, 1937, in Higginson, Arkansas to Alvie and Eithel Mae (Clause) Scritchfield. As a teenager, the family moved to Arizona and later back to Arkansas in the mid 1960s. In the early 70s, they moved to Hollis, to be near family, where she lived until her death. An avid Elvis Presley fan, Frances enjoyed reading, playing bingo, shopping at Wal-Mart, eating out, watching westerns on television and spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Birdy Troub, Iris Foshee and Carnell Frazier, she is survived by six sons, Marty Johnson and wife Dorothy of Hollis, Michael Johnson of Hollis, David Johnson and wife Pamela of West Virginia, James Johnson and wife Patsy of Arkansas, Richard Johnson and wife Barbara of Arkansas and Keith Johnson and wife Cherie of Hollis; sixteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two sisters, Jewel Useleton and Thelma Sullivan of Arkansas along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Frances Myers will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Harmon County Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Argo and Pastor Jesse Cantu officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis.
