Fern E. English, 6, passed away Saturday, June 17, 1995 at the Jackson County memorial Hospital.
Fern was born May 27, 1929 in cold Springs, Oklahoma to Marvin and Lizzie Smith Jones.
On October 17, 1967, she and Olis were united in marriage in Altus, Oklahoma. Mrs English was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.
Mrs. English was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by Olis, her husband of 27 years; three children and their spouses, Gerald and Pam Conaway of Altus, Nancy and Don Hake of Imperial, Mo., and Corey English; four brothers, Herbert Smith of Placerville, Ca., Dwain Smith of Delano, Ca., and Nelson Smith of Duncan, Oklahoma; three sisters, Pauline Jones of Weatherford, Oklahoma Elaine Burrow of Wichita, Kansas, and Bertha Stanley of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a niece, Becky Adams; a very close friend, Libby Welch and numerous nieces and nephews.
