Obituary for Eva Frazier Fuqua
Eva Frazier Fuqua was born February 23rd, 1908 at Gainesville, Texas. She was the daughter of the late L. E. and Minnie Ann (Renfro) Weatherman. She died August 23rd, 1996 at Wichita General Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Altus and Jackson County having resided from 1909 until 1994, when she and her husband moved to Vernon, Texas. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, member of the Rebecca Lodge in Altus for over 50 years. She was a nurse for Dr. James E. Ensey from 1936 to 1940. She then went to work for Dr. John Reid in 1942. Dr. J. E. Irby joined the practice of Dr. Reid in 1943, where she remained until her retirement in 1973.

Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, August 26, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. at the Altus City Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. The family of Mrs. Eva Fuqua will greet friends at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home, Sunday August 25, 1996 from 5PM - 6 PM.

Survivors include: her husband, William Ed Fuqua of the home; two children, Claudyn Frazier Bacon and husband Joe of Vernon, Texas and B. G. (Gene) Frazier of Carrollton, TX; three grandchildren, Stephen Frazier of Lindsey, OK, Patti Owen of Dumas, TX and Robin Briscoe of Altus, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren, Kevin Briscoe, Jeremy Briscoe, Stephen-Scott Frazier, John-Michael Frazier and Whitney Lynn Owen.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one brother, Troyce Weatherman and one sister, Etta Williams.
