Obituary for Eugene Arthur Mills

Eugene Arthur Mills, age 53, of Mangum, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 6, 2011, at Quartz Mountain Medical Center, in Mangum.
Gene was born on July 4, 1958, in Bossier City, Louisiana to Garland and Elizabeth (Beach) Mills. As an infant, Gene moved to Oklahoma and later to Spain while his father was in the military. Attending all twelve years at Mangum School, Gene graduated in 1976, and remained in Greer County until his death. A longtime mechanic and painter, Gene enjoyed fishing, working on cars and spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by his dad and infant grandson Chance, he is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Mills of Mangum; two children, Kerry Mills and wife Kara of Mangum and Gena Lynn Bennett and husband Michael of Altus; three grandchildren, Kelsey, McKenzie and Adrian; three sisters, Debbie Mills & Greg West of Mangum, Elaine Smith and husband Phil of Mangum and Alison Ellis and husband Justin of Perryton, Texas; two brothers, Gary Mills and wife Cyndi of Modesto, California and Dwayne Mills and wife Tabitha of Blair along with many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Gene Mills will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Red River Cowboy Church with Pastor Darrell Coffman officiating. Services are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
