Obituary for Ethel Crowley
Ethel Harris Crowley was born on June 17, 1953, in Hollis, Oklahoma, to Olturn Jack and Frankie Mae Harris. From the moment she entered the world, she brought joy and light to her family and community. She was a proud graduate of Gould High School and lived a life defined by service, compassion, and care for others.
Ethel worked diligently in factory positions for many years, but her greatest fulfillment came through her work as a Physical Therapy Aide. In that role, her gentle spirit and nurturing heart touched countless lives, reflecting her genuine love for helping others.
Her life was deeply rooted in faith. Ethel accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a devoted member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, where she found strength, fellowship, and peace throughout her life.
Known for her spirited and playful nature, Ethel embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. She could often be found fishing, enjoying the calm of the outdoors, or engaging in friendly competition at the pool table. She loved basketball and softball, and she found great satisfaction in tending her garden, delighting in watching life flourish under her care. Her laughter, warmth, and competitive spirit were truly infectious.
Ethel peacefully transitioned on December 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Olturn Jack and Frankie Mae Harris; her sister, Francis Mae Harris; and her brothers, Samuel Harris and Olturn Jack Harris Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted longtime companion, John Murphy; her loving children, Michael Harris (Mary Ann), Lakisha Crowley (Reginald), and Anthony Crowley (Tiffany); her seven treasured grandchildren, Jauston, Albert, Jose, Chantel, Cayla Carey, Crista, and Tisha; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters, Savannah Harris and Rosie Thomas; her brothers, OB Harris and Herbert Harris; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff and community of Colonial Manor II, who became like extended family and provided love and support.
Ethel Harris Crowley lived with faith, loved wholeheartedly, and found joy in life's simple pleasures. Though she will be deeply missed, her enduring legacy of resilience, kindness, and love will forever blossom in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:23
