Obituary for Esequiel Basaldua Jr.
Esequiel Basaldua Jr. Esequiel Basaldua, Jr. age 27 died October 7th, 2000 in a car accident in Spring Lake, North Carolina. He was born March 18, 1973 in Altus, Oklahoma to Esequiel Basaldua, Sr. and Virginia (Rodriguez) Basaldua. He graduated for Olustee High School in 1991, where he was the Valedictorian of his class. After graduation he attended Cameron University. On December 19, 1992 in Altus, Oklahoma Esequiel and Christina Rodriguez were united in marriage; in this marriage two beautiful children were born. He was a full time loving husband and father to his son Steven Tomas Basaldua; even in the time of need when his youngest son Ryan Isaac Basaldua passed away on August 29, 2000. He served six years in the Army for his country. He and his family were stationed at Bort Bragg North Carolina. He was part of the 2/82nd Airborne Division and a 67 Tango helicopter mechanic. He got out of the Army with an Honorable Discharge on February 24, 2000. He continued to work for the military but as a civilian working for LockHeed Martin. He is survived by his wife Christina Diane Basaldua and a son Steven Tomas Basaldua of Spring Lake, North Carolina.l His father and mother, Esequiel, Sr. and Virginia Basaldua of Olustee, Oklahoma; He is also survived by five brothers, two sisters, and four sisters-in-law, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 11, 2000 at 11:00 AM in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Olson officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
