Eric Brandon Carter, age 36, of Altus, passed away on April 11, 2022, at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. He suffered from complications due to heatstroke.
Eric was born on May 26, 1985, in McComb, Mississippi. He married Terrie Marie Carter on June 25, 2017. Eric worked in the oilfield and land restoration.
In his spare time, Eric enjoyed music, PlayStation, and playing with his dogs. He also loved spending time with his grandkids and godchildren.
Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Shelton L. Carter Sr. and Oneida Carter; his maternal grandparents; his father-in-law: Terry Authement; his step-mother: Pamela Branch Carter; his brother-in-law: Tyler Authement; and a godchild, Jeremy Coose.
Survivors include his devoted, loving wife of 5 years: Terrie Carter; his parents; his step-son, Dartanian James LaBouve Jr. and his wife, Anecia; their 4 sons (Eric's grandsons): Jace Paul LaBouve; Hunter Lee Stewart; Jasper Paul LaBouve; and Dartanian James LaBouve III; 2 sisters: Christina and Rebecca Carter; his grandchildren, several in-laws; his beloved pets as well as a host of other relatives, godchildren, friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Services have been entrusted to the care of the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home & Crematory in Altus, Oklahoma.
