Emma Eunice Wells, age 64, of Lawton, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, in Lawton.
Mrs. Wells was born on August 12, 1946, in Mangum, to George and Hazel (Doyle) Wells. After living the first twenty years of her life in Mangum and attending school there, she Married Robert Lee Scallion on February 16, 1966, and they established their home in Hobart. For many years, Emma worked as a nurse at B and K Nursing Center. In 1998, she moved to Lawton to be near her family and resided there until her death. Playing Bingo, fishing, going to the casinos, going to garage sales and cooking for her family were the things she enjoyed in life.
Preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children, Robert Lee Scallion, and three sisters, Diane Davis, Vera Wells and Gloria Phillips, she is survived by seven children, Vickie Jannell McCrae and husband Ronald of Nolanville, Texas, Desiree Scallion of Lawton, Robert Lee Scallion, Jr. of Lawton, Kristie Scallion of Lawton, George Lamon Whitney of Lawton, Denny Bell and wife Carolyn of Lawton and Ebony Scallion of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Charlie Wells and George Wells, Jr. both of Arizona; six grandchildren, Tierio Scallion, Kuiana Scallion, Nikea Scallion, Ashton Scallion, Tishica Fisher and X"antia Scallion all of Lawton; one great granddaughter, Tiera Scallion of Lawton along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Emma Wells will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010, at the Mangum Church of Christ, with Brother James Reed, Pastor Michael Williamson and Pastor James Callins officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
