Obituary for Elmer Nelson Lavender
Elmer Nelson Lavender, age 62, long time resident of Altus died Monday, January 23rd, 1989, night at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services have been set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the Lowell Memorial Chapel with The Reverend Carl McCoy officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Lavender was born May 14th, 1926 in Wagon Mound, NM. He was a Veteran of World War II service with the U.S. Army. He was the son of Nelson W. and Pete Durand Lavender.

Survivors include: two daughters, Cheryl and Brenda; one brother, Wince Lavender of Altus, OK.
