Obituary for Elmer Doyle Harrold
Elmer Doyle Harrold died Tuesday night at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He was born November 29th, 1923 in Sterling, Oklahoma. Elmer married Joyce Richardson on February 4, 1949 in Vernon, TX.

Elmer was a Veteran of World War II and was active in Europe where he was awarded a European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Stars and was also awarded a Purple Heart.

He was an employee of the United States Postal Service and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Joyce Harrold of the home in Headrick, Oklahoma; two sons, Doyle Ray Harrold of Jacksonville, FL and Jay Carle Harrold of Headrick, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Christie Harrold of Headrick, Oklahoma; his Mother, Lillian Harrold of Headrick, Oklahoma; one brother, Earnest Harrold of Roswell, NM; one sister, Norene McKay of Sunnymead, CA.

Services have been scheduled for Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Tims Chapel of Memories with Thurman Richardson officiating and Andrew Newton assisting. Interment will be at the Veteran's section of the Altus Centennial Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.

Tims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
