Obituary for Effie Mae Upfold
Services will be held Friday, April 12, 1986 at 3:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church for Effie Mae Upfold, age 77, of Altus, who died Monday, April 7th, 1986 at the Glendale Care Center in Glendale, Arizona. The Reverend Keith Wiginton will officiate and The Reverend Michael Moody will assist. Burial will be at the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born October 5th, 1908 in Mill Creek, OK, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Calaway. She married Foster Upfold July 25, 1925 at Sulfur, OK. They later moved to Altus where her husband was active in retail sales for Stephens Milk Company and K-P Construction. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Jean Anstead of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
