He had been a resident of Jackson County from 1916 thru 1951, moved to Duncan 1951 thru 1959. He served during World War II.
Funeral services for Edwin King Smith are scheduled for April 25, 1964 at 2:00pm in the Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by L.N. Moody. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Edwin King Smith is survived by his wife of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Buddy Kelley Wichita Falls, Texas; two sons, Douglas Smith, Wichita Falls, Texas; Eddie Jo Smith Wichita Falls, Texas; three grandchildren, mother Mrs. Etta Smith, Altus, Oklahoma; four brothers, Elmer Smith, Elmer, Oklahoma; Albert Smith, Olustee, Oklahoma; George Smith, Altus, Oklahoma; Roy Smith, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister Mrs. Alford Nash, Friendship, Oklahoma.
