Obituary for Edward Lee Triplett
Edward Lee Triplett, age 57, passed away Saturday, April 4th, 1998 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He was born July 27th, 1940 at Olustee, OK to Buck and Melba (Williams) Triplett. On December 14, 1962, he and Retta Smith were united in marriage in Altus, OK. They lived in Eldorado for 23 years.
In his 27 years of Law Enforcement, he was a City Marshall at Olustee, Eldorado and Sentinel, OK. He was Assistant Chief of Police in Hollis, a security guard at Burn's Detective Agency, and First State Bank's of Gould and Eldorado. He was Captain of the Jackson County Sheriff's office where he retired in 1996 due to health problems.
Funeral Services are scheduled are scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eldorado First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Ladner, Rev. Mark Farr and Rev. Dean Goodfellow officiating. Burial will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: his wife, Retta Triplett of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Joe and Joann Triplett of Eldorado and Danny and Sabrina Triplett of Dallas, TX; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Nick Armendariz and Donna and Hans Cross all of Eldorado, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Vanessa Armendariz, Amanda Triplett and Tara Triplett, Dylan Cross all of Eldorado, Jake and Bradley Triplett of Dallas, TX; four brothers, Carlos and Debbie Triplett of Glenpool, OK, Jimmy Triplett of Tulsa, Gary and Wanda Triplett and Keith Triplett of Sapulpa, OK; one sister, Reba Bennett of Sapulpa, OK; cousin, Lahoma Stanley of Eldorado; his mother-in-law, Lanell Smith of Olustee, Oklahoma ; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Timothy, Joe and Larry Triplett; father-in-law, Albert Smith and brother-in-law Delbert Smith.
