Obituary for Edith Sanders
Funeral Services for Edith Sanders, age 68, of Martha, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 24, 1996, at the Altus Church of God. Burial will follow at the Victory Cemetery. Len Gipson will officiate.

Mrs. Sanders passed away June 20th at the local hospital. She was born June 9th, 1928 in Wellington, TX to Edgar Daniel and Rose (Payne) Stephens. On January 20, 1947, she married Bo Sanders in Wellington, TX. Together they moved to Martha in 1976 from Levelland, TX. Mrs. Sanders was a bookkeeper, cook, housewife and had worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone. Lowell Tims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include: her husband, Allen Troy (Bo) Sanders of the home; four children, Darlene Wiggins and husband Joe of Altus, Oklahoma, Wayne Sanders of Pampa, TX, Jean Olson and husband Dean of Olustee, OK and Teresa King and husband Ricky of Martha, OK; one brother, Michael Stephens of Amarillo, TX; five sisters, Clara Weaver of Mercedes, CA, Maxine Ellis of Dodson, TX, Mazine Morrison of Heavner, OK, Linda Crump of Odessa, TX and Wanda McCarty, also of Odessa, TX; 13 grandchildren; three half-sisters, Annie Crain of Modesto, Gladys Sauerberg of West Mooreland, CA and Mary Mock of Pontiac, MI.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one infant child; three brothers, Lewis Stephens, Floyd Stephens, Paul Stephens; one sister, Hester Benton; two half-brothers, Earnest and Otis.
