OBITUARY
Eddie Gene Rogers
Eddie Gene Rogers, 63, of Mangum, Oklahoma, returned to his heavenly home on April 19, 2018, at home surrounded by his family. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in Jesus Christ supported him during his struggle with his illness, and ultimately gave him peace in his passing.
Eddie was born to the late Alfred and Doris Rogers in Mangum, Oklahoma on January 3, 1955. He was a graduate of Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) and had a passion for rodeo, hunting, fishing and the great outdoors.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Twyla Rogers; his son Jordan Rogers; his daughters Jessie Lemley (Bobby Lemley) and Allyson Bush (Brodie Bush); his grandchildren Samuel Lemley and June Rogers; his brother, Dale Rogers (Brenda Rogers); his nephews Brandon Rogers (Candy Rogers), Mikey Rogers (Holly Rogers), Michael Rogers (Shawnya Rogers), and niece Michelle Huckabay (Devin Huckabay); as well as, many great-nephews and nieces, family and friends.
The funeral will be Sunday, April 22, 2018, at 4:00p.m. in Plainview, Oklahoma, on family land with his son-in-law, Bobby Lemley, officiating. A motorcade to the service site at Plainview, Oklahoma, will leave Greer Funeral Home at 3:00p.m.
Visitation will be held on the same day at 2:00p.m..at Greer Funeral Home before the service.
Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery following the funeral. A family dinner will be held at the Mangum Senior Center following the burial.
The family would like to thank Jackson County Hospice for excellent care during his last days.
