Obituary for Dorothy B. Smith
Dorothy B. Smith, age 64, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, June 20th, 1998 in her home in Altus. She was born August 23rd, 1933 in Sigourney, Iowa to the late Ralph E. and Cleo (Beall) Seaba. On January 2, 1952 in Sigourney, Iowa, she and John E. Smith were united in marriage. He preceded her in death April 9, 1986. Dorothy had lived in Altus since 1968, moving here from Delaware. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

Survivors include: six children, Steve E. Smith and his wife Belinda of Garland, TX, Collette Madsen of Amarillo, TX, Becky Smith and her husband Nathan Janes of Willow Grove, PA, Danny Smith and his wife Pam of Altus, Tim Smith and his wife DeAnn, also of Altus, OK, Pam Garrett and her husband Tommy of Amarillo, TX; two brothers, Floyd Seaba and his wife Phyllis of North English, Iowa.

Wilford Seaba and his wife Ruth of Sigourney, Iowa; one sister, Mary Louise Sieren of Sigourney, Iowa; 12 grandchildren, Matt Smith, Emily Kay Smith, Kaitlyn Garrett, Nicole Smith, Luke Janes, Kelsey Madsen, Samantha Smith, Zachary Garrett, Karoline Garrett,
Aurora James, Nicholas Smith and Molly Madsen.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John E. Smith on April 9, 1986; one son-in-law, Bob Madsen.

***A Vigil will be Monday, June 22, 1998 at 7:30 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Joseph Jacobi officiating. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
