Obituary for Doris Clay-Robinson Patterson
Doris Clay-Robinson Patterson died December 4, 1992. She was the beloved daughter of prominent pioneers of Altus, Tom and Dollye Robinson, born July 13, 1909. She attended Cottey College, O.U., and SMU where she graduated with a degree in mathematics. She was in the service in World War II from 1942 to 1945, and was the first woman sworn in the service from Oklahoma. She spent most of her time assigned to General Eisenhower's staff in North Africa. She once remembers holding a war map for Eisenhower while they were making plans. She married her beloved Pat (Elvis F. Patterson) in 1953. He passed away in 1969. Since then she has been living in Leisure World in Laguna Hills, California.

She is survived by her brother, Dick Robinson of Los Angeles; six nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and nephews. She will surely be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 1992 at the Altus City Cemetery with the Reverend Ken Pate officiating. Local arrangements are being handled by Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, "Pat" Elvis Patterson (1969).
