Obituary for Doris Chumley Eakins
Doris Chumley Eakins, Doris married Arthur M. Chumley October 18, 1941. He preceded her in death March 25, 1970.
She then married Cheif Master Sergeant, James Paul Eakins, of Childress, Texas, on December 26, 1975.
Survived by one daughter, Sylvia Kay Foster, Altus, son-in-law, Fred Foster, two grandchildren,
Stacy Foster, Scott Foster, two step-sons- Dennis Ray Eakins, of Oklahoma City, Danny Allen Eakins of Altus, seven grandchildren, her mother Mrs. Earl Anderson, Altus, her father preceded her in death in 1972, one brother, Wendell Darwin Anderson, Altus.
Doris was a member of the Pierce St. Baptist Church, Amarillo, Texas, Hudson and Elm Church of Christ and Humphrey First Baptist Church. In February 1954 she began work for Civil Servico of Altus Air Force Base. Was a supervisor of Travel Section Forms, there she was in Accounts Control. Retired on March 1, 1983.
She was a member of Eastern Star Order of Rebeccas, Beta Sigma Phi, Veterans of Forgein Wars Auxilliary, Order of the Amaranth, and the American federation of Government Employees.
