Obituary for Donna Fae Crisp
A celebration was held Tuesday, September 13, 2011, when Donna Fae Ray Price Crisp, 91, of Mangum, Oklahoma met Jesus face-to-face. Donna was born March 21, 1920, in Bonham, TX. She was the daughter of Don Franklin Ray and Edna Lillian Denton Ray.
Donna met her future husband Ray Price at the age of 14. After a five-year courtship, they were married June 17, 1939. They farmed and resided in Panhandle, TX. After 28 years of marriage and five daughters, Ray was killed in an automobile accident. They were members of the First Baptist Church of Panhandle.
Donna later met and married widower Donald Crisp of Amarillo. Don"s two daughters, Donna Barnett and Jetta and husband Doyle Morris along with their children and grandchildren helped complete the family.
Donna had a 35-plus year career with Mason and Hanger (Pantex) where she worked as a warehouse supervisor. After retirement, she and her husband of 39 years Don Crisp moved to Mangum Oklahoma, where she pursued an active life golfing with friends, playing bridge weekly, and fishing with her husband and grandchildren. Donna loved being busy and assumed an active life in her community. Serving as a City Commissioner from March 1998 to March 2002 and from December 2002 to March 2007 were some of the most rewarding experiences in her life. Volunteering at the Blood Bank was very dear to her heart and she looked forward to serving in that capacity. The Mangum City Hospital Women"s Auxiliary was one of her favorite charities; she loved buying and stocking the gift shop and working with the women who were her friends. Two different Census years she worked as a Greer County Census supervisor. Donna also served as secretary for the Greer County Ladies Democratic party.
Donna loved her family, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her friends. She might have lived to be 91 years of age just because she celebrated life and loved reading, shopping, shoes, new dishes and jewelry with a touch of bling! Her many friends though not named here were held near to her heart.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Edna Ray; her husband, Ray Price and two sisters, Merle and Ruth.

Donna"s legacy of life includes her husband, Don Crisp, of Mangum; her daughters, Sondra and husband Sam McNeiland of Edmond, Oklahoma; Margaret and husband Kenneth Jay of Amarillo, Texas; Helen and husband George Cossey of Imboden, Arkansas; Rae Lynn and husband Mark McKiernan of Manhattan, Montanna; and Carolyn and husband David Miller of Burleson, Texas;
Twelve grandchildren: Kelli and husband Ed Schmidt of Yukon, OK; Stacy McNeiland of Edmond, OK; Kristi and husband Don Marks; Nicki and husband Chad Mason; Steven and wife Carole Cossey; Gregg and wife Monica Cossey all of Amarillo, TX; Barbara and husband Jerry Elliott of Lubbock, TX; Tina Fae and husband Chris Branscum of Nixa, MO; Sheri Lynn and husband Daniel Santiago of Italy; Colt Miller, Stephani Miller and Grey Miller of Burleson, TX.
18 great-grandchildren: Matt, Keeley, Taylor, Zoie, Ceciley, Caleb, Cutter, Jordan, Ethan, Brittany, Katelyn, Logan, Megan, Chelsea, Shanell, Loreine, Raegan, and Marshall.
A funeral service to honor Donna will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 17, at Greer Funeral Home with burial following gravesite services in Panhandle, TX at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 17. Arrangements are being handled by the Greer Funeral Home, Mangum.
