Obituary for Donald M. Rogers
Donald M. Rogers, age 58, passed away Thursday, September 19th, 1996 in Altus, OK. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 1996 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Dave Bucher, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Don Rogers was born March 30th, 1938, in Dallas, Texas, to Homer John and Maggie (Murray) Rogers. He married Carol Festervand in Shreveport, LA, on October 24, 1958. Don retired as a Senior Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force following a 22-year career. He loved hunting and fishing and was a talented cabinetmaker. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Altus.
Survivors include: his wife, Carol Rogers, of the home; three children, Harlan Rogers and wife Kelly of Ft. Worth, TX, Vivian Martinez and husband Ramiro of Blair, OK and Sharon Fields and husband Derrick of Blair, OK; three brothers, Bobby Rogers of El Paso, TX, Homer Rogers and wife Mary of Bryson, TX and James Rogers of Bryson, TX; two sisters, Helen Mosier and husband Shorty of Milsap, TX and Geannie Holt and husband D. B. of Albuquerque, NM; seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
