Domingo Huizar Griego, age 78, of Altus, passed away Saturday evening, October 29, 2016, at his residence, in Altus.
Mr. Griego was born in Pleasanton, Texas, on March 13, 1938, to Luciano and Elvira (Huizar) Griego. Growing up and attending school in Plesanton, Domingo moved to Altus in 1960. On October 7, 1964, he married the love of his life, Lenora Molina, and they spent the next fifty-two wonderful years together before his death. A farmer for many years, Domingo was a hard worker, but in his spare time he enjoyed going to garage sales, fishing, playing bingo, going to the casinos, playing pool and poker.
Preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lina Zavala, he is survived by his wife, Lenora, of the home; two children, Gilbert Griego and girlfriend, Franchesca Flores of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Diane Myers of Altus; three grandchildren, Gulianna Griego, Cayden Cavazos and Colby Myers; four sisters, Ramona Cantu of Poth, Texas, Petra Garcia and husband Cecilio of Poth, Texas, Edwina Valverde of Poth, Texas and Mary Padilla and husband Jose of San Antonio, Texas along with many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Domingo Griego will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Erin Martinez officiating.
