Obituary for Dixie Dawn Hernandez
Dixie Dawn Hernandez, age 43, of Eldorado, OK passed away on December 25, 2021, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Dixie was born to Robert Hernandez and Twila Jean Ritchey Hernandez in Altus, Oklahoma on March 9, 1978. She grew up and attended school in Eldorado. Dixie met the love of her life, Jerry Morales, on August 19, 2000, and worked in their home taking care of the family's needs.
Dixie was a quick-witted free spirit whose motto was "YOLO" ( you only live once)! She enjoyed everything life had to offer. Her hobbies and interests spanned the spectrum from fishing, watching crime mysteries, solving crossword puzzles, and decorating for Christmas to hanging out with her loyal friends, working on DIY projects, and being "Granny D." to her grandchildren.
In addition, Dixie had a beautiful voice and often entertained others by singing songs from her favorite musicals like "Grease". Because most of her time and energy was devoted to being a great homemaker, Dixie was able to perfect her cooking skills and made the absolute best mac & cheese! The family was the most important thing to Dixie and she loved spending time with them more than anything. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Robert Hernandez, Mother, Twila Jean (Ritchey) Hernandez, and grandfather, Wayne Ritchey whom she held a special bond.
Left to honor's Dixie memory are her spouse, Jerry Morales, daughters: Twila and her husband Dawson Henry, and Mylie Morales; a sister, Stephanie and her husband Edward Goldman; seven grandchildren: Banks, Haylin, Trystin, Aiden, SJ, Rylin, CJ, and Milli; her nieces & nephews whom she loved and treated as her children: Felicity, Jaimie, Corin, Mahaylee, Jessica, Vanessa, Alexis, Ashley, Jacob, Anthony, Paul, Manuel, Daniel, and Ty;her grandmother Bonnie Ritchey, her childhood best friend, Sasha Deel. as well as a host of other relatives and friends,
