Obituary for Dina Kay Jones
Dina Kay Jones age 48, passed away September 20, 2005 at Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton.
She was born March 24, 1957 in Hondo, Texas to Merced Becerra and Josefina (Rodriguez.)
As a young child Dina sang songs about Jesus. Less than 2 days prior to her death she sang these words to her long time favorite hymn in a soft yet 'on pitch' voice. "IN TIMES LIKE THESE' (Ruth Caye Jones) In times like these you need a Savior, In times like these you need a anchor; Be very sure, be very sure, Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock. This Rock is Jesus, Yes, He's the One; This Rock is Jesus, the only One. Be very sure, be very sure, Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Merced and Josefina Becerra and a sister, Faith Ann Byrd.
Dina is survived by a daughter, Ericka and a son, Brian of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers, Eddie and wife Martha of Altus, Oklahoma, Abel Becerra and wife Hogla of Dallas, Texas, and Joel Becerra and wife Helga of Albuquerque, New Mexico, sisters, Margaret Tingle and husband Tom of Elizabethtown, Ky, Josie Jones of Dallas, Texas, brother in law David Byrd of San Antonio, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside servies will be held Friday, September 23, 2005 at 1:30 pm at the Altus City Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating, under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family will greet guest Thursday, September 22, 2005 from 6:30 until 8:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
