Dillard (Digger) Howard Collins, of Mangum, Oklahoma left this physical walk of life to pass into a spiritual eternity on January 19, 2018.
Dillard was born in Pocola, Oklahoma on January 31,1935 to Henry and Hattie (Hendrix) Collins. Dillard grew up around Stigler and Lequire, Oklahoma. He left home at a very early age to work in the cotton harvest around Granite, Oklahoma. Later he moved to California to work in the irrigation of the fruit and vegetable farms. It wasn't until he tried working in the oil patch of New Mexico, that he found what would become his chosen career. In 1979 Dillard moved to Granite, Oklahoma where he purchased oil wells north of town to make a successful production company called, Dilco Oil. Dillard was a very special person with many different abilities such as a mechanical and electrical knowledge. Dillard could work on many household problems, if you could convenience him to do so. (Honey-Do jobs were not his favorite)
