Dean Clanton, 46, was born November 16, 1957 in Salina, Kansas to Jim N. and Shirley (Armstrong) Clanton. He passed away November 26, 2003 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Dean lived his early life in Garden City, Kansas and graduated from Garden City High School. He later moved to Altus, Ok where he worked for Rick's Lawn Sprinklers as an installer for many years. Dean's hobbies included playing golf and doing yard work.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jim N. Clanton.
Dean is survived by his wife, Vicki Clanton of the home, his son, Brad Clanton, two brothers, Jim L. Clanton of garden City, KS. Lee H. Clanton of Vonda of Garden City, KS. one sister, Sheryl Cook of Denver City, TX and one granddaughter, Shaylee Clanton.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, December 1, 2003 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home with Rev. T. J. Willingham officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
