DECATUR
David William Decatur, age 62, of Mangum, passed away late Wednesday evening, May 11, 2011, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Mr. Decatur was born on March 23, 1949, in Fredericksburg, Virginia to Raymond Allan and Louise Virginia (Shackelford) Decatur. After attending Stafford, Virginia schools, he began working in Virginia in several jobs throughout his life. Retiring in 2004, he moved to Mangum to be near his family. During his spare time, David enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, fishing, bowling, the lottery and occasionally going to the casino.
Preceded in death by his mother, he is survived by his father of Fredericksburg, Virginia; two sisters, Patricia Jaco and husband Richard of Fredericksburg and Edith Brooks and husband Sonny of Mangum; one brother, James Decatur and wife Diane of Rhoadesville, Virginia along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In keeping with David"s wishes, there will be no memorial services. Cremation services were entrusted to Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
