Obituary for David Lee Campfield
David Lee Campfield, age 49, of 512 N. Hightower, died Wednesday, May 13th, 1981, afternoon at his home of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Saturday at Lowell Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Keith Wiginton. Burial will be in Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born November 18th, 1931 in Los Angeles, CA, he was married at Burbank on February 11, 1955 to the former Betty Austin who survives of the home. He was retired from the United States Air Force in December of 1970 and at the time of his death was employed as a security officer for the Altus AFB Exchange. He was a member of the Altus Twilight Lions Club and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife are: two sons, Larry Campfield of Burns Flat and Robert Campfield of Edmond, OK; a half-sister, Mrs. Vonda Rolland of Riverside, CA; his Maternal Grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Pollock of Los Angeles, CA; his Mother and Father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. (Buster) Austin of Altus, OK.
