Soon after graduating high school, Danny went to work with his mentor and friend, former senator, Herschal Crow, at the state capitol in Oklahoma City. After working with Herschal, Danny went back to his hometown, Olustee, to serve as a council member, and later became mayor of Olustee. While working as mayor, Danny worked as a branch manger of the Olustee bank until he went back to university to continue his education. After earning his bachelor's degree in Accounting from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, he went on to work at the lending firm, Farm Credit, in Altus, Oklahoma. Danny decided after leaving Farm Credit to pursue a career in banking. While living in Altus, Danny served on the council of Altus, Oklahoma where he did many projects to serve his community such as, the chairman for the building of the Imagination Station, the cleaning p of Altus, and crime-stoppers. He was also involved in many organizations including the Military Affairs Committee, Main Street Committee, Leadership Thirty, Foundations of the Western Oklahoma State College, and the Rotary Club of Altus. He ended his career working as the financial officer for Lee Office Equipment in Altus, Oklahoma until he finally retired.
Of all his wonderful accomplishments in life, his biggest accomplishment was being a devout husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He was so proud of his wife, two daughters and son-on-law, his grandson and his many nieces ad nephews. If you knew Danny, you knew his family. He did not know a stranger and would do anything and everything for those he loved. He took the time to show every loved one in his life his wisdom and knowledge. Every moment was a teachable moment in Danny's eyes. He was a devoted Christian, he loved telling all of his relatives about the birth of our Lord and Savior, and reading scripture during the holidays.
