Obituary for Consuelo Contreras
Consuelo Contreras of Altus entered into her eternal rest on February 10, 2022 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was 70 years old at the time of her passing.
The daughter of Juan Contreras and Juanita (Suniga) Contreras, Consuelo was born on December 14, 1951 in Lesley, Texas. She moved to Oklahoma in 1958 and lived in Olustee for a while. In 1968, Consuelo relocated to Altus where she made her home and raised her children.
Consuelo dedicated 20 years of service to Kellwoods during her work career. When she wasn't working, she liked cooking and having fun with her best friend, Tracie. Consuelo was a loving and generous person. Her big heart allowed her to show compassion towards others and to help anyone she could. She was most passionate about her family. She loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
In her spare time, Consuelo liked playing loteria at home, going to the casino, and hanging out with her sister, Juanita. Her kindness and genuine spirit will be remembered always.
