Obituary for Connie Mae North
Connie Mae North, age 63 of Altus, Oklahoma and formerly of Riverside, California took her last breath in pain and took her first breath in glory on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.

Connie was born on January 19, 1958 in Riverside, California to her parents James Ralph Clark and Bonnie Frances (Donaldson) Rasco. Connie grew up in a military family and lived in many places where the Army stationed them including Alabama and Las Vegas. She graduated from high school in Las Vegas and attended college at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus majoring in book keeping and finance.

Connie married Charles William North, Jr. on April 14, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada and they have enjoyed forty years of marriage together. As a military wife she lived in Yokota, Japan, Altus Air Force Base, Rudolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, and after retirement in Rogers, Arkansas before returning back to Altus, Oklahoma. Connie worked in banking and finance and was passionate in her work as an advocate for battered women. Connie grew up Baptist and loved cooking and sewing blankets. She was also very lucky at the slot machines.

She played golf and baseball in high school. She enjoyed traveling and quilting and loved to care for her grandkids. Connie was a servant to the people, out to help anyone in need.

Preceded in death by her father, James Ralph Clark; mother Bonnie Frances Rasco; mother-in-law, Irene Elizabeth North; and her stepmother, Joanne Clark.

Connie is survived by her husband, Charles William North, Jr. of their home in Altus; two sons, Dale Wayne North and wife Carissa of San Diego, California; and Daniel Lee North and wife Terah of King, North Carolina and their sons, Tatum and Dominic; one daughter, Teresa Darleen DeBus and husband Jared of Baytown, Texas and their children, Brandon and Allie Mae; brothers, Scott Rasco of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; Phil Tatman of St. George, Utah; and David Odle of Riverside, California; sisters, Sharee Means of Farmington, Arkansas; Donna Barnes of Hesperia, California; Carol Struble of Altus; Karen Mantzke of Altus; Shirley Tatman of St. George, Utah; and Brenda Odle of Riverside, California; great granddaughter, Ember Bush; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.

Donations may be made to the Battered Women's Shelter (ACME House, Altus, Oklahoma) in honor of Connie Mae North.

Due to Covid-19, the family is holding a private Celebration of Life services.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
