Obituary for Cleo Lavern McIntosh
Cleo Lavern McIntosh, 84 of Altus died Tuesday, March 30 1999 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services are scheduled for Thursday, April 1, 1999 at 10:00 on Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Reeves and Bob Felton officiating. Burial will be a Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Northwest Highway, Oklahoma City, OK at 2:00pm. arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

She was born October 13, 1914 in Mansfield, Texas to the late Ivan Parker Wilson and Mary Ollie Johnson. She moved with her parents to the Paririe Hill Community, Duke, Oklahoma in 1921. She grew up in that community and joined the Prairie Hill Baptist Church. In 1932 she graduated from High school there. Cleo attended Hill's Business College and later graduated from Blackwood Business College, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. On March 1, 1943 in San Marcos, Texas, Cleo and John D. McIntosh were united in marriage. They had a son, Michael John McIntosh, who both preceded her in death.

After the death of her husband, Cleo, and Michael attended High School in Altus and graduated from Altus High School in 1968.

Cleo worked in the Jackson County Treasurer's Office for Oscar Dobbs for one year. She later worked as a secretary at Altus Air Force Base until her retirement in August of 1983.

After two years of study she graduated from the Word of Faith Bible Institute of Dallas, Texas and was presently a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mattie Wilson of Altus, Oklahoma; nieces and nephew, Zeta and Bill Weyrick of Duke, Oklahoma, Curtis and Lue Wilson of Big Springs, Texas, Ivan and Luvenia Walker of Ft. Worth Texas, Ray and Dorothy Walker of Arlington, Texas, Tommy and Lavern Gardner of Burleston, Texas, Joyce and Bill Stevenson of Burleston, Texas , Pat and Mackey Moore of Aledo, Texas, Carol Fox of Pharr, Texas Jerry Beasley of Portland, Texas and a host of friends.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Prayer Ministry, Altus, Oklahoma.
