Claude Clifford Chapman age 65 of Altus, died at Memorial Hospital May 2, 1965. He was born September 17, 1899 in Kokman, Indiana to L. M. Chapman and Daisy (Holman) Chapman. He moved to the Altus area in 1909. Mr. Chapman married Alta Williams March 19, 1921 and she preceded him in death November 30, 1947. He married Ruby Kirby September 3, 1955.
Funeral services for Claude Clifford Chapman are scheduled for 10:00am Tuesday May 5, 1965 in the Tims Chapel in Altus, Oklahoma officiated by Rev. L.M. Moody. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Claude Clifford Chapman is survived by his wife, Ruby of the home, one daughter, Mrs. Darmaler Pyle, South Hampton, Pennsylvania; two sons, Clifford Chapman, Duncan, Oklahoma; Dale Chapman, Altus, Oklahoma; three step sons; C.R. Kirby, Altus, Oklahoma; Dermil Kirby, Duke, Oklahoma; J.W. Kirby, Phoneix, Arizonia; two sisters, Mrs. Darlene McClure, Oklahoma; Mrs. Linda Waldrop, Dill City, Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs Vera Chapman, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Mrs Melba Dowdy, Altus, Oklahoma; Mrs Tillman Roberts, Martha, Oklahoma; four brothers, Harry Chapman, Lakeside, California; Jerry Chapman, California; Jay Chapman, Charley Chapman, Dallas Texas.
