Clark Tolbert McWhorter was born January 20, 1908 to the late John Andrew and Mattie Bethania (Whitwell) McWhorter. He died August 18, 2000 in Altus.

Clark Served as Superintendent of Schools at Friendship, Arapaho, and Porter High. He was appointed Director of SWODA by President Johnson. He served as National President of REC. He also farmed in Jackson County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus.

Survivors include:
Wife Doris McWhorter Altus, Oklahoma
1 Daughter Mary Beth Eichel California
3 Grandchildren

Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday August 21, 2000 at the Lowell Tims Chapel with Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Interment in the Blair Cemetery. Lowell Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
