Obituary for Clara Mae Graves
Clara Mae Graves, age 74, former Hess resident, was born August 18th, 1920 in Hess, Oklahoma, the daughter of Benjamin F. and Fannie Mae (Wallace) Murphy. She was a lifetime Jackson County resident having moved to Altus in recent years. She died September 28th, 1994 in Lawton, Oklahoma. She married Wayne Graves December 27, 1941 in Altus, Oklahoma. Mrs. Graves was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Hess Baptist Church.
Services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Overstreet and Rev. Melvin Moody officiating. Interment will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: her husband, Wayne Graves of the home; two children, Eddie Graves and wife Janet of Wichita Falls, TX and Marsha Garrison and husband Rick of Lawton, OK; three brothers, J.B. Murphy of Altus, OK, Pat Murphy of Olustee, OK and Willis Edsel Murphy of Park Hill, OK; two grandsons, Robert Edward graves of Wichita Falls, TX and Tony Wayne Garrison of Lawton, OK.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; one son, David Wayne Graves; one stillborn daughter.
