Cinderella Bogart, 93, of Mangum, passed away Monday, March 16, 2009, at Mangum Community Hospital.
Cinderella was born September 7, 1915, in Greer County, Oklahoma, to Allie and Dollie (Beavers) Coleman. She married Johnny Lee Bogart, Sr. October 10, 1931, in Greer County where they made their home and raised their children. Cinderella was homemaker and loved to cook, crochet, and make quilts. She was a member of the Reed Home Extension Club for many years. She and her husband were very active members of the Reed Baptist Church until it disbanded several years ago. Cinderella received her GED when she was 45 years old, which made her a proud graduate of Vinson High School. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, which made her part of a fifth generation family. She and Johnny were married sixty-two wonderful years before he passed away in 1993.
Cinderella is survived by one daughter, Alta Willene Bogart Herndon and husband Richard of Lahoma, Oklahoma; one son, Junior Bogart and wife Doris of Mangum; two sisters, Cora Jane Chambers of Vinson, Oklahoma, and Malean Mitchell of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren, Susan Herndon, Cynthia Herndon, Alta Gail Herndon, R. Kent Herndon and wife Amy, Carl Bogart and his very dear friend, Bonnie Allen, Curtis Bogart and wife Kayla, and Keith Bogart and wife Kim; eleven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
