Obituary for Christine Watson
Christine Watson was born July 26, 1922 at Blair, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late Frank Allen and Vera Riggins (Nipp) Riddle. She died July 17, 2001 in Martha.

She married Virgil Tony Watson February 9, 1947 in Altus at the 1st United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death June 24, 1998.

Christine taught school in Humphrey, Arnett, Martha and Blair until she retired. She served as Assistant County Superintendent for 2 years, served on the Martha School Board, she was Secretary Treasure of the Martha Cemetery Association, she was Treasurer of the First Baptist Church of Martha for many years, and served as Assistant Treasurer and a member of the Building Committee for the Martha Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters; Betty Tom Graham and husband Howard of Pampa, Texas, Eula Margaret Whisenant of San Diego, California; one sister-in-law, Darlene Riddle of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; two nieces Cheryl Sue Evans of San Diego, California, Darla Perry of St. Simons, Georgia; one nephew, James A Riddle of Bakersfield, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother Bob Riddle.

Services for Christine are scheduled for 10 am Thursday July 19, 2001 at the Martha Road Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Turvaville officiating. Interment will follow at the Martha Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
