Charles Rayborn Livingston, Sr., age 75, of Granite, passed away Friday afternoon, December 27, 2013, at Elkview General Hospital, in Hobart.
Mr. Livingston was born in Sayre, Oklahoma, on September 20, 1938, to Charles Willis and Ruby Jewel (Lowry) Livingston. As a child, he moved to Apache where he attended school. In 1963, he met the love of his life, Loretta Roberts, in Fletcher. They were married on November 22, 1965, in Lawton, and spent the next forty-eight wonderful years together before his death. After their marriage, Charles spent many years working in the oil field, in different locations, including Africa. In the late 1980"s, Charles left the oil fields and worked as a mechanic in Guthrie and Oklahoma City. In 1998, Charles and Loretta moved to Granite and he worked at Wilmes Ford and Rowland Transmission until his health began to fail.
Preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Neoma Ruth Reid, Anita Charlene Heilman and Donna Sue Coffien and one brother, Bobby Ray Livingston, he is survived by his wife, Loretta, of the home; three children, Charles Livingston, Jr. and wife Traci of Sentinel, Oklahoma, Eric Livingston and wife Carroll of Del City, Oklahoma and Cullen Eugene Livingston and wife Francene of Boise, Idaho; seven grandchildren, Dayla Cromwell, Kristen Wheeler, Christopher Livingston, Morgan Livingston, Samantha Coulter, Alexandria Coulter-Music and Cody Wayne Livingston; five great grandchildren, Jayden Cromwell, Andrew Wheeler, Krew Music, Kora Music and Kinsley Music; one brother, Mickey Doyle Bartley of Washita, Oklahoma; three sisters, Jo Ann Varnier of Apache, Marquita June Livingston of Apache and Joel Lynn Livingston of Apache along with many other friends and relatives.
Memorial services for Charles Livingston will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at the Granite First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tim McGough officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Granite City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Granite.
