Charles "Chucky" Mack McDowell, II, was a remarkable individual who lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication. On November 10, 2023, he left this world too soon near Cordell, Oklahoma at the age of thirty-seven.
On December 17, 1985, the McDowell family rejoiced at the miracle that God gave them, Charles Mack McDowell II was born stillborn but because of Prayer and God Charles was given the gift of life. Chucky was the oldest child born to Charles Mack McDowell and Brenda JoAnne (O'Neal) McDowell. He was raised and educated in the Woodward area and graduated from Woodward High School in 2005. Following graduation, Chucky worked at Waggs restaurant in Woodward as a chef. Cooking was a true passion of Chucky's. He loved experimenting and trying new things. He enjoyed grilling, smoking, and even cooking classic dishes. He delighted in preparing meals and everything he made was truly made with love. He also worked at Long John Silvers in Altus, and at the time of his passing was working for American Gypsom. In his free time Chucky enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, but most of all he enjoyed being around his family. He cherished his family more than anything in this world. Everything he did was for his family.

Left to honor Chucky's memory are, his daughter, Nevaeh McDowell; Son, Raymond McDowell; his wife, Dasirae McDowell; Mother, Brenda, and husband Jack Dewayne Duke, brother, Anthony Barnes, Jacob McDowell and wife Taylor, Lisa Stanfield and husband Peter, Stepsister, Nikki Duke; Stepbrother, Chad Duke. In addition to his immediate family, Chucky leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored him. His infectious smile, his distinctive laugh, and his warm personality will be truly missed by all his family, and friends.
The McDowell family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home, Altus, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home Chapel, Altus, Oklahoma.
Services have been entrusted to Lowell - Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus' only locally owned and operated funeral home.
