Obituary for Charles Black
Charles Black passed away on June 8, 1979 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services were held in the Tims Chapel of Memories at 10:00 am, Monday, June 12th. M.R. Tubbs officiated the service. Burial took place in Radford, Virginia.

Charles was born July 1, 1928 in Washington D.C. He served fourteen years in the US Army. He moved to Altus in the early 1960's and worked as a Supervisor of the Dining Hall at the Altus Air Force Base. Charles was a member of the American Bowling Association and a member of St. James Lodge #229 F & A.M.

Mr. Black is survived by his wife Era of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; three sons, Gentry Carson, Jarvis Black and Christopher LaMont Black all of Altus, Oklahoma. Also surviving are Antoinette Alexander, Etorshi Carson, Shebral Carson, Detra Black and Kimberly Black all of Altus, Charlene Black, Lorenzo Black, Charles Black Jr. and Angelo Black all of Lawton, Oklahoma and Martha Black, Washington D. C.
