Charlene Brooks, resident of Hollis, Oklahoma, left her earthly home to join the arms of the Lord on September 10th, 2023 at the age of sixty-three.
Charlene was born on October 25th, 1959 in Corsicana, Texas to A.D. and Little Drew Dickson. She was the oldest daughter of 12 children. She attended and graduated from Arnett High School in 1977. Charlene went on to work different custodial jobs until later becoming a stay at home mom for her children. This was a position she took with great pride. She cared deeply for her family and neighbors. She was always the first to offer help. She ensured that her family was well taken care of, happy, and healthy.
Charlene was a proud Christian. She dedicated her heart and soul to Jesus Christ and his word. Her Family was deeply rooted in Babers Temple Church of God In Christ, Hollis, Oklahoma. She loved listening to gospel music, she always played it no matter where she was. Charlene loved talking on the phone to her friends and family. She enjoyed telling stories and catching up with those close to her. She especially loved to do so with her grandchildren. They were the light of her life and she loved them dearly. She was ready to lend a hand to those who needed. She had a big heart that she shared with everyone around her. Charlene was a giving and generous person that will be greatly missed.
Greeting Charlene at the gates of Heaven include her parents A.D. and Little Drew Dickson; and siblings, Edward Glen Dickson, William Lee Dickson, David Earl Dickson, Irene Dickson, Glen Dickson, Robert James Dickson, Jessie Dickson, and Raymond Dickson.
Left to honor her memory include her son Jeremy Dickson; daughters, Sherell Ingram and Cindy Ingram; siblings, Willie Ray Dickson and Barbara Dickson Miller; grandchildren, Marcko Darrell Ingram and Marcus Torrell Winston; as well as nieces, Tiffany Dickson, Ursula Dickson; nephews, Nathan Dickson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and church family.

A viewing will be held 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
