MOTE
Celestine H. "Sally" Mote, age 85, of Spring TX, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Mercy Elderly Assisted Living Center in Spring, TX.
Sally was born May 23, 1928 to Alfred Belton and A.D. (Tolliver) Huitt. The 1942 Valedictorian of Sterling Oklahoma High school attended two years of business school then married Merlin D. Mote, also of Sterling, in 1945. She had a 37 year Civil Service career, beginning at Tinker Air Force Base, on to Kelly AFB in San Antonio, Texas, and finally retired from Wright Patterson, in Dayton, Ohio. She then returned to San Antonio, Texas, practiced Real Estate, and enjoyed travelling.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Mote and wife Julie, of Spring, Texas; two Grandsons, Tommy Mote and wife Ellen, currently of Waco, Texas, and Samuel Mote attending Texas A&M; her brother Carlton Huitt, M.D. of Lusk, Wyoming; and her sister Betty Ward, of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was a bright light to many relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be at 4:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2014, at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
