Obituary for Carl Edgar Allen
Carl Edgar Allen, 79, resident of Mangum, Oklahoma passed away on December 1, 2021, in Mangum. Carl was born on January 4, 1942, in Russett, Oklahoma to Clyde and Mary (Clark) Allen. Carl attended school in Mangum until the seventh grade, when he had to drop out to help his family. He married the mother of his children and the love of his life, Emma Dee Higginbotham on August 7, 1971, in Mangum. Carl worked for the City of Mangum for twenty years. While he always enjoyed working for the City of Mangum, his true passion revolved around farming and ranching. He enjoyed every moment he was working in the field and with livestock. Carl was a true animal lover. He was always known to have multiple animals he cared for. He loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, hunting and going to auctions.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents; Brothers, Guy Lynn Allen, Archie Allen, and Connie Mack Allen; Sister, Wanda “Dosie” Allen Morgan.
Left to honor Carl’s memory, is his wife, Emma Allen; Sons, Tony Lee Allen and wife Sandy, Rodney Lee Allen, Bobby Lee Allen and wife Mindy, and David Lee Allen and wife Crystal; Daughters, Sherry Lynn Barnum and husband Bill, and Teresa Allen; Grandchildren, Samantha Leckie, Shawn Leckie, Alexandra Leckie, Chase Allen, Lance Allen, Conner Allen, Jayden Dominique Lumpkin, Casey Allen, Colt Allen, Tamera Peyton, Katie Allen, Chris, Sean, and Brandon Allen; Great grandchildren, Emmalee, Hanna, Allyson, Pyper, Eric, Clarke, David, Daweson and Kenall; Numerous extended family members and friends.
