Obituary for Buford Fulton Keil
Buford Fulton Keil, 88, of Altus passed away Wednesday, May 5, 1999 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 8, 1999 at 10:00am at the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ with Bill Osborne officiating. Graveside services will be Monday, May 10, 1999 at 3:00pm at Fort Towson Cemetery, Fort Towson, Oklahoma under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Buford was born October 30, 1910. In March of 1954 Buford and Ruby Plaster were united in marriage in Coffeyville, KS. She preceded him in death April 9, 1996. He served our country in the United States Air Force and retired October 30, 1959 at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia. Buford was a member of the Air Force Sergeant Association, the VFW, American Legion and the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ in Altus. He was an avid gardener and friends would know him best for bragging about his pecan trees producing the largest pecans in Jackson County.
He was preceded in death by his wire; one brother an two sisters.
Buford is survived by a special niece, Denna Plaster and great-nephew, Stetson Plaster both of Altus; one brother-in-law, Haven Plaster wife, Bessie of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two sisters-in-law
Jewel Plaster and Louise Hawkins both of Altus and a host of other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Tipton Home, 1100 N. Broadway, Tipton, Oklahoma 73570.
