Obituary for Bonnie June Cope
June Brecheen Cope was born to Earl and Inus Brecheen , December 11, 1927 in Hollis, OK.
June attended the Hollis Public Schools, graduating in 1946. She then attended Abilene Christian College in Abilene, Texas for one semester before returning to Hollis to marry the love of her life, Grady Cope. In 1947 her dad performed their wedding, which took place in their living room.
June passed from this life on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the age of 90 years, 3 months & 17 days. All of her life was spent in Hollis.
June worked as a bookkeeper at Parker Floor Covering for 5o plus years. She was a devoted member of the Hollis Church of Christ her whole life, teaching Sunday School, singing for weddings and funerals, and anything that she could do to help those in need, she stood ready.
She was preceded in death by her husband Grady Cope in 2004, after 57 years of marriage; her parents, Earl and Inus Brecheen of Hollis, and a brother, Pat Brecheen and wife Betty of Lubbock, Texas.
June is survived by her daughter, Janna Robinson and her husband Ed of Yukon, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Courtney Robinson of Frisco, Texas; grandson, Carter Robinson and his wife Tosha of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two great granddaughters, Bentlee and Lainee Robinson of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one brother, Dr. Carl Brecheen and his wife Smitty of Abilene, Texas; several nieces nad nephews, and a host of friends, her church family, meal site friends, road trip travel buddies, and her devoted neighbors.
Viewing hours will be from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm on Friday, March 30, 2108 at Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Hollis Church of Christ with interment following at the Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis.
