Bobbie Jo Blasingame, age 82, of Mangum, passed away Thursday evening, August 4, 2011, at her home.
Mrs. Blasingame was born on January 9, 1929, in Willow, Oklahoma to Hugh and Ella (Denton) Berry. After attending school at Lake Creek, she met Ralph Blasingame, when he returned from the war, and they were married on June 23, 1950. During the next few years they made several moves in Texas and Oklahoma with Ralph"s job. In the mid 1960"s, they moved to Bethany where they made their home for several years and Bobbie drove a school bus for Putnam City Schools for many years. After Ralph"s death, Bobbie moved back to Mangum, in 1999, where she made her home until her death.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Alvin Berry and Norman "Red" Berry, one sister, Mary Blain, one daughter, Kathy Darlene Blasingame and one grandson, Alan Blasingame, Jr. She is survived by three children, Charlotte Dunning and husband Mike of Yukon, Everett Blasingame of Bethany and Alan Blasingame of Mangum; eleven grandchildren, Brian Dunning, Justin Dunning, Jeremy Dunning, Brittany Dunning, Rachelle Drewery, Amanda Blasingame, Everett Blasingame, Jr., Mellissa Blasingame, Lana Blasingame, Shawn Blasingame and Sara Blasingame; one sister, Carolyn (Berry) Coleman and husband Rex of Mangum; one brother, Dennis Berry and wife Shirley of Mangum along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Bobbie Blasingame will be at 10 a.m., Monday, August 8, 2011, at the Mangum Church of Christ. Interment will be at 3 p.m., Monday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
