Virginia. He died August 27, 2003 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Billy married Laverne Chapman Jackson, April 15, 1955 at Vernon, Texas. Laverne preceded him in death March 1, 1992.
Billy served in the United states Air Force from which he was honorably discharged. he was a resident of Altus and Jackson County over 45 years and attended the Altus First Baptist Church. Billy worked with Allied Moving Company for many years.
Survivors include two children; Bobby Jackson and Cherry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Nita Jackson of Altus, Oklahoma, two brothers Herbert Jackson and Gloria of Edgewater, Florida, Claude Jackson and Eleanor of Goose Creek, South Carolina, one sister Hester Gallihar of Abinton, Virginia, one grandson Christopher Jackson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 2 brothers, Earl and Roy Jackson. Services for Billy Jackson are scheduled for 10 am Saturday, August 30, 2003 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
