Obituary for Billie Bernice Hankins
Billie Hankins, age 81, a life long resident in the Eldorado community, passed away at the Vernon Care Center in Vernon, Texas on Friday May 14, 2010.
Billie was born on Jan. 27, 1929 to Albert and Jewell (Spencer) Weddle at Eldorado. Billie married Tommie (Clifford Doyle) Hanknis on March 27, 1946 in Amarillo, Texas. For nearly sixty five years they lived in the Eldorado Community. Billie was a homemaker.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, Geneva Dawson, and brother-in-law Kenneth Dawson, and one granddaughter Sara Osborne.
She is survived by her three daughters, Tommie Ann Hatcher of Irving, Texas, Shelia Brown and husband Preston of Edmond, Oklahoma and Chris Quisenberry and husband David of Vernon, Texas; five grandchildren, Cary Osborne and wife Vernonica of Grand Prairie, Texas, Shane Osborne and wife Tami of Eldorado, Oklahoma, TJ Osborne of Allen, Texas, Scott Bernard and wife Angela of Edmond, Oklahoma and Chad Bernard and wife Denise of Edmond, Oklahoma; and six great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 2pm Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Eldorado Cemetery, officiated by Dr. Ron Killingworth. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 pm Sunday evening at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Eldorado.
