Obituary for Belinda Darlene Swain

Belinda Darlene Swain, a cherished resident of Cleveland, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of sixty-five. A loving mother, devoted grandmother, caring sister, and loyal friend, Darlene’s life was a testament to compassion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to those she held dear.

Born on September 1, 1959, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Neal and Deonne (Brown) Morris, Darlene embodied a spirit of generosity and responsibility from an early age. After earning her associate’s degree in nursing, she dedicated her career to serving others with grace and empathy. She spent many years with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, retiring in 2018, and later brought her nurturing presence to Cleveland Manor nursing home, where she continued to touch lives until her well-deserved retirement in 2024.

Darlene found profound joy in life’s simple yet meaningful moments. She adored camping trips to Port Aransas, Texas, with her beloved John and Julius, where the soothing rhythm of the waves and the warmth of the sun brought her peace. She eagerly anticipated her annual Carnival cruises, embracing the thrill of adventure, the tranquility of the ocean, and the beauty of the open sea. Above all, she treasured Christmas, a season of love and togetherness spent with her children, and grandchildren, making each holiday season truly magical.

Darlene’s legacy is one of boundless love, quiet strength, and selfless devotion. She leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who were forever touched by her kindness, and a lifetime of cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Darlene is preceded in death by her father, Neal Morris; and Sister, Carol Berry-New.

Left to honor her loving memory is loving husband, John Swain of the home; Sons, Julius Swain of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Aaron Cypert and wife Kelsey of Kansas City, Missouri, Kobey Trower and husband, Anthony of Houston, Texas; Daughter, Danielle Trower of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Sister, Mari Jackson of Newcastle, Oklahoma; Grandkids, Jackson, Grayson, Payton, and Carson, of Norman, Oklahoma; Niece Amie Conway and husband Drew of Blanchard, Oklahoma and their children, Harper and kade; Nephew, Ryan Jackson of Norman, Oklahoma, as well as multiple nieces and nephews from Granite, Oklahoma
