Obituary for Beatrice L. Pantoja
Beatrice L. Pantoja, age 71, Hollis resident, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at her son's home in Altus, Oklahoma. Services had been entrusted to the care of the Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis.
B was born on September 15, 1950 in El Campo, Texas to her parents, Inez and Henrietta (Rivera) Luna. She grew up in Robstown, Texas and attended school there. Bea also lived in Loco, TX; Houston, TX, and Austin TX before she made Hollis, Oklahoma her permanent home in 1972. On August 9, 1965, she married Jose Pantoja Jr. in Hollis. Their loving union spanned nearly 6 decades.
During her work career, B was employed at the Colonial Manor #2 Nursing facility. While there, she worked as a nurse's aide, cook's aide and cook. She also worked in the home care field for a while and served as a bricklayer's assistant. She was a homemaker full-time, managing the household and meeting the daily needs of her family.
Away from work, B enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing bingo and crocheting. She also loved spending time with her family. B was a longtime member the First Baptist Church and was a long a member of the Band Buddies. She will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
Awaiting B's arrival at heaven's gates are her parents: Inez and Henrietta Luna; her two brothers: Jesus and David Luna; her sister: Aurora Morales; her granddaughter: Elizabeth Pantoja and her son-in-law: Omar Lopez.
Left to honor her beautiful memory are her husband of 57 years, Jose Pantoja Jr; 10 children: Jose Pantoja III; Juan Jose Pantoja (Janie); Jose Luis Pantoja (Danielle); Richard Inez Pantoja (LuAnn); Carlos Antonia Pantoja (Doris); Ernest Lee Pantoja and companion, Rosemary Avilez; Jimmy Edward Pantoja; Nick Benito Pantoja (Erika); Monica Lopez; and Amanda Jo Favalora (Tony); 4 brothers: Daniel Luna; Adam Luna; Benjamin Luna; and Miquel Luna; 3 sisters: Henrietta Saavedra; Sylvia Trujillo, and Sandra Aguilar; 39 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
