Obituary for Anne Stoner
Anne Gertrude (Manire) Stoner, age 97, passed away Monday, June 24th, 1996 in Altus, Oklahoma. Anne was born August 26th, 1898, at Decatur, Texas. She married Harry Stoner in 1933 and he preceded her in death in 1958.
Anne attended North Texas State Teacher's College and Texas State Teacher's College for Women. Mr. Stoner was owner of Farmers Produce Company and spent 42 years in ranching and the farm produce business.
Mrs. Stoner was Past Matron of the Eastern Star of Decatur, Texas, member of the First Presbyterian Church, member of the Altus Garden Club, Rose Unit, member of PEO and was the Kiwanis Mother of the Year in 1964. She had worked at the Orr's Flower Shop.
Anne was preceded in death by: her parents and her husband, Harry.
She is survived by one son, Harry Stoner, Jr. of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; two step-daughters, Beth Stoner Gibbons of Dallas, TX and Meredith Stoner Hardy of Ft. Worth, TX; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
